The main philosophy for the O’Mega was to have the large spaces of a small cruise ship while retaining the feeling of a smaller sized luxury yacht. The spacious deck and interior areas on all three levels have been specifically designed to ensure that all guests comfortably enjoy their time onboard whether it be together or independently.

The 82m O’Mega built to the highest SOLAS standards. The yacht was initially built in 1985 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., and underwent a total re-construction in its hull and superstructure features in 2004 by Golden Yachts. In order to be able to guarantee the highest seaworthiness and safety, all of the machinery and auxiliaries were fully overhauled and all necessary inspections were approved by Bureau Veritas Classification Society. Moreover, the remaining technological equipment and machinery were also replaced in order to ensure that the yacht had nothing to envy from a total new building. This former passenger vessel was converted into a majestic mega yacht that has managed to set a class of its own guaranteeing guest safety without compromising comfort and elegance.

The great success of O’Ptasia is what made way for the Golden Yachts design team to present the GY 52 line, a result of the increased demand that arised after the yacht’s launch in 2007. The smooth exterior and interior lines created by the architect Giorgio Vafiadis, who designed this impressive superyacht able to accommodate ten to twelve guests and seven crew members. O’Pati is powered by MTU 16V 2000 engines enable her reach a cruising speed of 24 knots.

As for the exterior spaces, a lounge area is positioned at fore end, the guests has the chance to dine and do sunbathing. Same for the aft of the yacht where the architect thought of a large lounge couch. All yacht
spaces can give to its guest relaxation and delightful sense of comfort.

As for accommodation all cabins are located on the lower deck and have en-suite facilities. More analytically, the largest owner suite lies forward. It has full width layout, with walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with shower room. Two twin cabins located on the midship, with en-suite bathrooms and Pullman berths available on each cabin for child use only. On the aft, two double cabins for guests located with en-suite bathrooms.

Die erste der drei Master-Kabinen auf der O'Pari 3 befindet sich auf dem Hauptdeck und hat den attraktiven Zusatz eines festen Balkons an Steuerbord. Die in neutralen Farben gehaltene Suite ist erfrischend und geschmackvoll modern und verfügt über ein eigenes Bad mit beeindruckenden Marmorarbeiten in Toffeefarben.

Diese Master-Kabine ist die größte der drei Kabinen und strahlt eine eigene Persönlichkeit aus. Die beiden anderen Kabinen befinden sich auf dem Oberdeck bzw. im hinteren Teil des Brückendecks. Die Entscheidung, mehrere Masterkabinen von ähnlicher Größe einzurichten, macht das Chartern mit großen Gruppen, die aus verschiedenen Familien bestehen, noch wünschenswerter.

Die zweite Mastersuite auf dem Oberdeck verfügt über umlaufende Fenster und Türen, die einen bequemen Zugang zum Außenbereich bieten. In diesem Sinne können Gäste, die diese Suite nutzen, den Luxus einer privaten Terrasse genießen, wenn sie es wünschen, oder einfach nur die Nähe zu den Annehmlichkeiten, die man im Freien findet, genießen. Der obere Salon von O'Pari 3 ist eine zwanglosere Alternative zum Hauptsalon und ein monochromes Meisterwerk.

Wenn Sie jedoch den Beach Club betreten, eröffnet sich Ihnen eine ganze Welt von Möglichkeiten. Während solche Annehmlichkeiten von einer so großen Superyacht erwartet werden können, ist die Art und Weise, wie sie ausgeführt wurden, ebenso beeindruckend wie ihre anderen herausragenden Merkmale. Nach Abschluss unseres Rundgangs auf der O'Pari 3 drehte sich das Gespräch des Teams natürlich wieder einmal um die Frage: Spielt die Größe eine Rolle?

In a twist on the typical GA, the owner’s cabin is situated on the upper deck, giving direct access to the jacuzzi on forward part, which is flanked by sunbeds. Luxurious furniture ensures that the large deck spaces are ideal for entertaining.

The yard adds that Ira Petromanolaki of the IPYD studio created the contemporary interior design found on board My Eden, while George Chairakakis of Golden Yachts acted as project director.
